Ahuntsic is a neighbourhood in the north of Montréal, in the borough of Ahuntsic-Cartierville, which runs along the Rivière des Prairies for about 15 km. The former village of Ahuntsic, constituted in 1897, was annexed to Montréal in 1910. To the east, the former village of Sault-au-Récollet is one of the oldest settlements in the north of the island: the Church of La Visitation, built between 1749 and 1752, is the oldest church in Montréal, and the sector has been a City heritage site since 1992. The electoral district of Ahuntsic had 33,222 residents in the 2021 census.

Three Orange line metro stations serve the neighbourhood: Henri-Bourassa and Sauvé, opened in 1966, and Crémazie, on its southern edge. Sauvé and Ahuntsic stations are on exo's Mascouche commuter train line. The Viau and Papineau-Leblanc bridges link the neighbourhood to Laval.
